When Reagan was put up in 1980 it was widely predicted that he was a joke and his candidacy was a gift to Carter. Didn't turn out that way.Other than platitudes, what evidence is there that Carter would have done at least as well (or badly, in fact) against Reagan when he could barely beat Ford? |
