Not exactly true. The Route 5 Queen Marys (Model 735) were replaced with GM 5104s that lasted into the MABSTOA era. The Whites (only 8 of them), along with 25 Mack C50s, did replace the Queen Marys (Model 720)that ran on the #15 Jackson Heights route, which saw its last double decks in early 1952. It is true that both the Whites and Macks on the #15, based at Jackson Heights garage, were not successful buses.
