The 4506's, 4507's were used on those particular lines because they replaced the open top double deckers. The 4509's replaced the remaining closed tops (except Queen Marys) and most pre- war single deckers (used for crosstown routes). The C-50's were specially not included in the City condemnation takeover in 1962 and were scraped by Fifth Avenue. |
