That's stupid for two reasons:

1- Copiers have had no problems copying other colors for 15+ years now, and

Because the Brits never identify themselves as such.

Well, there is the aspect that British identity was invented in the 18th Century out of convenience. But Pakistan was also invented -- this time as an acronym in 1947, so I dare say that they're still Punjabis, Afghans, Kashmiris, Sindhis, and Balochistanis.

Now if they invented a slur term derived from the leek, you might become mildly annoyed.

They already invented the one about sheep. Which can actually be amusing when it's used in a creative manner (i.e. not the "lamp-post in Swansea" joke* or the alternative words to the last line of Cwm Rhondda**).

* For the benefit of those who haven't heard it:
Q: What do you call a sheep tied to a lamp-post in Swansea?
A: A leisure centre.

** You know, the "What's it like to shag a sheep?" so beloved of soccer fans from Bristol. Of course, this resulted in Cardiff City F.C. marketing inflatablesheep...

Yes, but you don't react to it the way Japanese and Pakistani people do.

though I use it here out of courtesy to the Yanks (8-)

Just let's not mention the Cockney Rhyming Slang there...

I regard myself as English, though I'm probably part Anglo-saxon and part Celt (Cornish).

I think I've got the full set somewhere in my ancestry -- Welsh, English, Cornish, Scottish, Irish, and rumors that I haven't been able to quite nail down of some Spaniards in the 16th or 17th Century (as they're allegedly on the Cornish side, and the records there are pretty awful). I tend to tick the Welsh box out of it all just making it much simpler than convoluted explanations.

I think that 'Britain' is a somewhat artificial construct. It's occasionally said that the only people who call themselves 'British' are people who aren't.....

It's certainly a word that's fallen into the hands of scoundrels...
