An unnamed Hudson River tunnel, based on the Holland Tunnel, is subject to a hazmat explosion in the movie and thereafter begins to flood.There was once an enormous hazmat fire in the Holland Tunnel in 1949, which damaged that tunnel seriously, but the tunnel didn't collapse and didn't flood - and nobody died, although 66 were hurt. |

Instead of capturing people who done concrete actions and made real investments of time and money who you can send away for long prison terms or shoot when you bust in the door...all you get are some light sentences and people that get even more pissed off in jail. If you want to win the giant vegetable contest you don't sabotage your neighbor 6 months in advance...he'll just replant whatever you tore up. If you can destroy his crop on the day before the contest there is no way to recover and you have destroyed a significant investment. BTW, compare today's SDI with Regan's SDI. Many plans start out big, most end small. Instead of arresting these people we should have put some shills on the terrorist chat rooms to convince these dopes to go to Iraq as insurgents then take their transport out with a missile once they cross the border. That not only deals with the terrorists, but also won't teach them not to talk in where they can be observed. |
