As I have mentioned in many posts, what this city needs is a Robert Moses like official who will do for mass transit what Moses did for highways and screw the NIMBYs! One of the things that can be done in certain transit starved areas like the north Bronx abd S/E Bkln is the provision of true feeder bus service. When I lived in Marine Pk a guaranteed connection between the #2 train and both the B41 and B44 buses at Flatbush/Nostrand would have definitely been more beneficial than the current setup which has the buses and subways operating on different headways almost guaranteeing missed connections |
