Yeah, but if the MTA did that then Wallyhorse would be really, really upset that his often repeated idea of rebuilding the Atlantic Avenue station, and re-routing train routes every which way up the ying-yang could not be done! (LOL)Realistically there are several options - from full shut-down and repair, to working on tube at a time, to a series of weekend and weeknight closures for track & tunnel work. Of course each option has different duration of construction work and different time to completion milestones, and offer their own sets of headaches. I still admire him for continuing to come up with different schemes, but some of those schemes can only exist in "Wally-World." Mike |
