It was high enough for decades when the line operated.

Also it would spur development and make the area much more desirable. Apparently that is only a consideration for the far west side in Manhattan. We don't have to have the same thinking for the outer boroughs. Who cares if travel is inconvenient outside of Manhattan. They're the only ones who matter although the outer boroughs pay the same taxes.
