I understand very well what tree roots does to concrete but you neglect to remember 2 things1. NYC still does inspections on those structures and... 2. The bridges are concrete with the steel providing the main support. So the tree roots may get into the cracks in the concrete but it doesn't mean the tree has compromised the STEEL thats really holding the bridge. |
