Daily News Article About Dangers of Platform Extenders at Union Square

I was amused at the photo at the top of the article, which seems to highlight the gaps that exist on a stairway.

I know there is a gap extenders at the Times Square shuttle platform, but where else?

As a fix to the problem that was experienced last Friday, could the TA install an emergency pressure release valve adjacent to the individual gap extenders that would allow for quick release for anyone trapped?
