I was thinking about a release valve or like the TSQ shuttle the T/O can retract the GF; but there is a problem in that if you release the GF to free a trapped person they might fall onto a shoe and be electricuted. Also, people holding the trapped person might be electricuted. The NYCT needs a procedure for this. You must shut off 3rd rail power before releasing the GF. I don't know if GF's power and the 3rd rail are connected. |
