The Gap Filler pulled on a big lever to extend and retract the gap fillers. He sat behind a couple of horizontal poles, in a little "pocket" on a stool.I'm sure if interested, management could okay the "alteration" of an unmanned booth to pare it down to fit the old position and make it operable with buttons. Tamper proof on local tracks, but what about express tracks? And as has been stated, I wouldn't open the gap filler without first seeing what the problem was, because I wouldn't want anyone to drop onto the trucks third rail shoe. "I'll save you!"
