It amazing how the Daily News is always so wise after the event.Apparently, they were wiser than the TA. The TA had evidence of a problem by virtue that Union Square had twice the number of passenger accidents than the next closest station. One would have hoped they realized this and had taken actions to rectify the situation. If they would focus public attention on a problem before it becomes critical they might actually do some good. The official response would have been that the situation existed for umpteen years without serious incident. |
