Remember the name "Hilary Rosen" because she will be in the news a LOT starting tomorrow:

The shitstorm on Twitter right now as a result of this is about a category 5.

There was never a war on women.

As for what was said about Mitt's wife...spouses should be off-limits unless they make statements first.

I expect that Hilary Rosen will be dismissed before the week is out.

She's right. Ann Rmoney has never worked in an actual job a single day of her life. Hubby Willard can't ask women himself? He has to ask her? Women are voters. He should be connecting directly instead of pretending there's some sort of veil...where he has to send his wife out to find what women want.He clearly does NOT believe in equality.

The war on Women has to do with specific issues related to healthcare access for contraceptives, which are necessary for women to fully participate economically.

I do appreciate seeing this,it's a different, spot on perspective on Rmoney. Thanks, Chris. You have no idea how this further damages the presumptive nominee.

Oh, c'mon. When an Obama adviser attacks a woman who stayed home to raise 5 kids and is suffering from MS and is a cancer survivor, you can at least take an interest in the breathtaking stupidity of such a move.

Romney is enjoying the full support of even the most skeptical conservative because of this. It's quite an achievement.

The Democrats and Obama have become desperate. That desperation will get even worse as the Republicans unite behind one candidate now that the primaries are basically over in all but formality.

Very wise of the White House to distance themselves. It's Ann Romney's willingness to take care of the home front that made Mitt's career possible.

How exactly? The republicans started the War on Women when they freaked out about contraceptive access in February. Then Sanitorium started up about overturning Griswold, et.al. and revealed where the republicans really stand. Rmoney said then he would sign that bill if it came to him.

That's where the gender gap came from, and there's video footage to ensure it won't go away. Ms Rosen added anew perspective about Rmoney and she's right...by using his wife he's indicating that he has no interest in talking with women himself, directly. Does he think women are Unequal?Inferior?...He's the candidate, he should be out there talking with women directly. Gotta ask why.

I'm not so sure. I think the Obama campaign lives in a cocoon where they think they can get away with anything because Obama's agenda is so important to the nation. Pure "ends justifying means" mentality. It explains why they went off on Rush Limbaugh for his Fluke comments, but felt secure in trashing conservative women. I think many are genuinely shocked that this blew up so strongly. To them, Democrats should be immune from attacks on their views of women from the right. They support all the right causes, right?

How exactly? The republicans started the War on Women when they freaked out about contraceptive access in February.

LOL!! Us rational people knew not to pay attention to the nonsense. Actually, if the GOP didn't want Santorum, they were BRILLIANT to start that and have him spout off now instead of in August. The left, and people like you with youyr overindulgent "fake" outrage, worked like a charm to get the more moderate candidate chose. THank you!!

Then Sanitorium started up about overturning Griswold, et.al. and revealed where the republicans really stand.

No, the hype you created during the primaries (instead of waiting until August where it would have been devastating) helped get rid of him now, and make it old news. Thank you!

That's where the gender gap came from

There is no "gender gap". It's a manufactured issue created by the leftists because they can't run on Obama's great achievements, and since they have to point out anything other than this failed pre3sidency, they have tried this angle, as they have nothing else. RUnning on how "bad" the other side is rather than how "good" your side is is a recipe for disaster.

No because the whole nonsense was a sideshow. There is no realistic chance all the hype the leftists came up would have a chance of passing anyway. I liked Romney better than Santorum all along, but there was NO way in hell I would be voting for four more years of the current atmosphere, so yes, if Santorum had one, I would still be voting for the lesser of two evils in November, which he would have been for "change". Thankfully, the better candidate prevailed, so it's moot.

She's a talking point bot, Chris. I can predict whatever she will say by reading the lefty talking heads I follow on Twitter the day before she makes a post.

It was Obama, for no apparent reason who decided to trash precedent and force Catholic owned businesses to cover birth control. They had Sandra Fluke ready and waiting before he went public.

The Democrats (well the hard leftist ones anyway) proceeded to harp and jump on, and make a huge ordeal out of it. It made Santorum look like a lunatic. If they were smart, they would have saved their ammo for if he was chosen. They let fire their ammo pointing out the more moderate candidate, at a time when Santorum had a good chance of winning the primaries. By making such a huge deal out of issues during a time when it really was none of their concern, helped hugely in getting rid of Sandorum, the far weaker candidate against Obama. Thank you Bing Bong, Smaz & Co!!

Sandra Fluke testified before Congress, which operates independent of the Executive branch. As if not learning science isn't enough, now civics is on the RW edumaction block too?

You mean they just let Santorum speak. Americans wouldn't have voted for Santorum as he's too far right on social issues.

your pal,
Fred

Without precedent? What are the states that have done this? Chopped liver?

And furthermore, I'm sure you are aware that there currently is a public comment period in effect, asking for input on regulations. In other words, TEHRE ARE NO REGULATIONS YET.

Once again, I don't follow how the leftist Democrats persuaded Republican primary voters to vote for Romney.

Sanitorium IS a lunatic. He wasn't going to be chosen, period. However, Rmoney said he'd sign onto whatever Sanitorium wanted. Now he's trying to etch-a-sketch his way out of a 20 point gender gap that WILL cost him the election. However, the RW won't have any of that, they're taking the toy away.

Don't think for a minute women are going to enmasse suddenly forget about this. It'll all be back come convention time, when they do the platform. Two days after that, the real campaign begins.
