As a result, a NYC foodie and blogger started a blog dedicated to the seasonal treat and where to find it. Everyone found it strange that when the Shamrock Shake came back it was limited and noticeably absent in NYC(five boroughs). So they dropped the shake because of lagging sales but everybody here who lives outside of New York saw them all the time. Me, Selkirk, etc. you are incorrect. It was the other way around, Fred G. The Shake made a comeback, it wasn't "dropped". Each year it expanded it's coverage, but oddly, for some reason NYC's five boroughs just wouldn't carry it. Strange since NYC hosts a huge St. Patrick's Day parade, possibly the largest in the US. The treatment of Shamrock Shake by McDonald's(a huge corporation under the magnifying glass of WOKEism) points to cancel culture and PC, racial scorecarding. It bothers you that it was identified. You want real Americans to live in ignorant bliss. Thanks for attacking with misinformation. |

Over the years I guess McDonald's got mixed reactions as northerners began migrating to Florida. Last I checked they put both mustard and ketchup on their burgers. Honestly it's not about flavor but the vinegar in either ketchup or mustard that makes digestion easier. |

The mustard adds a little extra vinegar kickI bet if they lowered the amount of sugar in the ketchup they could just use ketchup. You’re on the money with vinegar aiding digestion of rich fatty foods. We always had oil and vinegar coleslaw when we had fatty stuff like bratwurst or pulled pork. |

It’s a fairly easy homemade thing to make. When she was a kid my mom used to help make the sauerkraut which was just putting cabbage and water in a barrel and then put a cake of salt on top of it and let it sit. |
