I was talking about past societies, in which abortion, Jim Crow, and criminalized homosexuality existed together. Trump Dude said Roe could be overturned (on that, I think he's absolutely correct), and that would be tantamount to turning back the clock to that earlier time.

If Trump gets re-elected (which is also entirely possible), he will have his third SCOTUS judge before 2024, and he will work hard to get Lawrence overturned, too. Trump is already arguing to SCOTUS that LGBTQ people are not protected by the Civil Rights Act. That and his other anti-LGBTQ actions clearly show where he is going. If Roe and Lawrence are both overturned, we WILL be living in the society TD is fervently wishing for.

Yup. And, when I pointed out in a past thread that Blacks are incarcerated way out of proportion to their actual population in America I got ridiculed by the righties here for that approach.

Because the Civil Rights Act did in 1965. Federal courts have upheld that premise. SCOTUS may rule differently on this, but so far, existing case law says LGBTQ people are indeed covered by the Act.

And you ignored the statistics then too. It was shown that Blacks, as proportion are more likely to commit crime.
I don't have the stats in front of me, but I remember those commiting murder for example were almost identical......but then you ignore, as usual, the fact that Blacks are outnumbered 6 to 1 by whites in proportion to population. That means Blacks are SIX TIMES more likely to commit murder. THose are actual numbers. If you have an equal amount of murders (for example), for both groups of people, yet there are 6 times the numbers of one group, that groups number is still exactly identical as a percentage as the other.

And there were many crimes where blacks commited MORE of the crime listed, and they are only 12% of the population.

It's not. What don't you understand about populations numbers. Raw numbers of abortions are similar, yet there are 6 times the number of whites? The number of whites can be SIX TIMES more than the number of blacks having abortion, and their percentage would still be equal.

funny how the main proponents of abortion on this board are a doofus who probably hasn't had a girlfriend for, well, always, and who considers developing babies to be "parasites", a homo who finds women "unattractive", which is undoubtedly equivalent to how they feel about him, and a weird lonely female who wants to do "boy stuff" and who can't get pregnant anyway.

...which is roughly equivalent to the make-up of "women rights" march attendees.

Bias in arrests, prosecutions, and sentencing all play a role in the higher incarceration rate for POC, both valid and invalid.

There is plenty of reason to believe that a black who commits a murder is more likely to be convicted of the murder than a white who commits a murder.

Not 6 times as likely, of course.

Also, more killings by whites get downgraded to manslaughter than killings by blacks.

I didn't say that. And I didn't say 88% either. Blacks are 12% of the population. Whites are about 72%. That is SIX times that 9f whites. The link from the FBI YOU posted stated that Blacks and Whites commit about the same amount of murders (close in number). Whites are SIX times more prevelant than Blacks in population, yet commit roughly the SAME number of murders. Simple statistics will show you that that means Blacks are SIX times more likely to commit murder. Whites murder numbers could be SIX times the number they actually commit to be equal to Blacks as a proportion of their respective populations

There are plenty of studies that shows that the justice system is harsher to blacks for the same crime. But that doesn't negate the fact that blacks clearly commit crimes at a greater rate.

There is a strong correlation between crime and poverty, and a strong correlation between poverty and being black, so that isn't surprising.

5/6 of all the murder or criminal convictions against defendants of color aren't "wrongful", but here a public defender explains how innocent people are often forced to plead guilty to crimes they didn't commit. This is especially true for Black defendants.

It's also one very good reason why the Black incarceration rate is so artificially high. Just the threat of terrifyingly long prison sentences for losing at trial is one reason why so many people--even those who couldn't possibly have committed the crime they were charged with--plead to a lesser offense. It's not quite as cut-and-dry as you think.

How about this, from an article I posted elsewhere in this thread by a public defender, who explains why innocent defendants accept plea bargain for crimes they didn't commit:

"The judge turns to you and asks, “Does either counsel know of any reason that I should not accept the defendant’s guilty plea?” You hesitate. You want to shout: “Yes, your honor! This plea is the product of an extortive system of devastating mandatory minimums and lopsided access to evidence. My client faced an impossible choice and is just trying to avoid losing his life to prison.”

It says a great many things about why the Black incarceration rate is so artificially high.
