It's not clear when the embassy will ever move. And yes, of course they can be safe. Marines guarding the embassy in Iraq and Afghanistan have been safe. That's not a reason for not moving the embassy, though there very well may be others. |

I don't think it will be long before the embassy moves, and as for the workplace safety of people assigned to it, vs. Iraq and Afghanistan, in Jerusalem there will be many more, and varied threats against it, than in either of the other two countries. |

I think Trump is playing to his evangelical base here at home, instead of any real concern for Israel's affairs of state. |
