It's not that no one else cares. It's just that one learns the futility of trying to discuss rationally, any subject, with liberals.

Geez, are you stupid. The Kioto accord was voted down in the Senate 95-0. The Paris accord was the same deal with lower expectations except Tain the area of income redistribution. There we'd give the 3rd world signers a ransom of $100 billion annually for voluntarily signing up and doing little else. Great deal Dumbama.

No, his original post gloats that Trump is incompetent. None of the things JayZ mentions are due to Democratic opposition, they are due to presidential inability.

I agree that that is worth gloating over because most of Trump's goals are bad for the country, so the less effective he is at pursuing them the better.

Really?

Let's see, now.

Michael Crichton put this best:

"Free markets don't guarantee safety. Only regulation does that. If you want a safe stock market, you need the SEC. If you want safe drinking water and clean air, there has to be an EPA. If you want to fly on a safe, airworthy airplane, the FAA better be on the job. If you want safe meat and poultry, there must be inspectors. Keeping the strong from squashing the weak is the purview of the Justice Department."

To that I would add, if you want our country safe from espionage and mobsters (among many other things), you need the FBI, and if you want disaster relief after tornadoes, earthquakes, or super hurricanes (like Sandy), FEMA is a must. Oh, and without a diplomatic agency like the State Department, we end up at war.

Tell me again, how these executive and judicial safeguards are "unconstitutional, anti-citizen, and un-American"...

Germany is fantasizing that they can go it alone in Europe. They won't come up with the 2% of GDP that would meet their military obligation under the system that has provided the European stability that has enabled them to dominate the region, but they imagine they'll be able to lead an independent Europe on 1.2% of their GDP.

Or they may see that they have to raise a real army. In my opinion, keeping Germany quiet was the real achievement of NATO. "Deutschland, Deutschland über alles, über alles in der Welt," anyone?

Germany contributed 14% of NATOs budget, above the UK. The US contributed 14%.

As for that 2%... it was agreed upon In order to encourage and allow for such contributions, members agreed in 2014, and reaffirmed at a summit last year, on a commitment for each to spend at least two percent of GDP on defense spending, by 2024.

Please educate yourself, do better than Trump.

I agree with that, but giving Germany a free (or at least a heavily discounted) ride on their defense is untenable. If they (and Europe) want the U.S. to be their protector, no questions asked, they need to let the U.S. run their foreign policy. That is the price of dependency.

They want to call the shots and have the U.S. pick up the pieces of their failures.
