You should go to a few in Jackson Heights and Corona.

I do.

I need to know what people do. What scams people are pulling.

Yes there is. Aside from Federal bigamy laws, practically every state mandates monogamy in their marital laws.

What federal law?

The Edmunds Act of 1882 is not overturned by Windsor, and the logic of Windsor cannot be used to overturn it unless some state begins to allow state-sanctioned polygamous marriages.

Windsor already took care of that unless you mean if the same-sex married servicemembers in question are using some off-base, non-federal hospital or service in Dumbfuckistan.

(I think you meant Fort Drum, NY)

Yeah, I did. My bad on wrong fort.

That's exactly what I mean. It will most likely be a non-biological parent seeking to enroll their kid in school and getting denied a place in class. In NY for example they'd be a legal parent without need for adoption procedures. That won't be the case where their marriage is unrecognized.

good example.

It could be a parent (with military dependant card) enrolling their non-biological kid (also with dependant card) in an off-base school in Killeen, Dumbfuckistan and the school administrators going all Taliban on his/her ass.

Or in an off-base clinic for the kid's surgery while his/her same-sex spouse is deployed.

That's the kind of case that will bring down Section 2.

The US Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces has ruled that the Lawrence decision applies to the military as well, though I think it refers only to the sodomy laws in the UCMJ.

The military also has laws that still criminalize fraternization within the chain of command and intimate relations between enlisted and officers.

Windsor involves a monogamous couple that although recognized as married in their state was not qualified for inheritance benefits allowed for hetero couples at the Federal level.

That has nothing to do with bigamy.
