I am referring to this president's blocking American production of American oil off American Shores and within American borders.There have been 300 offshore drilling permits issued since May 2009. Ten were issued just last month. I'm also referring to his blocking of oil from canada, coming to the US via a pipeline. We're already getting that oil by rail. I'm clearly referring to his deliberate actions that prevent us from becoming less dependent on middle eastern oil. Only 10.3 percent of our oil came from the Middle East in 2011, down from 14.5 percent in 2008. For the first time since 1997, we consumed more domestic oil than imported in 2010 and 2011. |
