Transportation is a small factor in the overall cost of crude. I still maintain that the president could immediately knock $1 per gallon off the cost of gasoline by stopping summer and winter blending of gasoline. You say that there is not much the president could do. There is one thing he can and should do. President Bush failed to do it to his discredit. The elimination of these additives to gasoline would not only lower fuel prices but they would lower prices of meats and foods made from corn and cane sugar. (AND THAT AIN'T NO BULLSHIT) |
