Potential increase in the catering / banquet hall / tuxedo / and related industries due to an increase in the % of population that is able to marry. This is partially offset by the increasing number of heterosexual couples that are now choosing NOT to get married. 2.) Potential increase in the earnings of divorce attorneys, family court employees, and others from an increase in the % of the population that is able to marry, and thus an increase in the % of population potentially seeking divorces. Again, this number might be offset by the increasing number of heterosexual couples that are now choosing NOT to get married. 3.) Allowing gay couples to receive the same benefits of straight couples, therefore making them more integrated into regular society. |
