You are entitled to dislike Obama's leadership, but there is too much history in this country of high-achieving black men having their accomplishments called into question. Look at how some are now suggesting that Obana got into Harvard on something less than merit. There was a right-wing site that screamed yesterday, "Now let's see the college grades". As for Bush, he opened the door to scrutiny of his academic records when he started boasting about being a "C student" who had "A" students working for him. It also seemed strange that a man who could not speak coherently in the English language, could have matriculated at, much less graduated from, not one, but two Ivy League schools.Of course, Bush's entrance exam for Harvard consisted of one question: "Was your grandfather Prescott Bush, a trustee and major benefactor of this university"? When, in the last 100 years, has any sitting President been asked to prove his citizenship, after vetting by the Election Board, after producing the correct and appropriate documentation during his campaign, and after the Governor of his home state verified said documents? Why such extreme measures for Obama, and Obama only? |
