In the time Obama has been in office, in addition to healthcare reform, he has:Held firm on TARP recovery, Repealed Don't Ask/Don't Tell, a policy that should have been disposed of decades ago, (Whether or not you belive gays should serve in the military, Obama's work in Congress and at the Defense Department was LEADERSHIP.) Became the first US President to fight overseas piracy since President Tyler, Presided over the recovery of Wall Street, which was in four-digit territory when he was inaugurated, and which closed today at 12763.31, a nearly four-thousand point gain since January 2009, Signed new SALT legislation, the first President to do that since the Cold War, and, yes, tackled the ongoing problem of healthcare administration in this country, the first President to attempt that since LBJ. Whatever else you want to throw at me, the fact remains that Obama most certainly has shown LEADERSHIP, on these and quite a few other issues. |
