He rants about Steele being an affirmative action beneficiary, and denies that Obama isYou must have me confused with someone else, possibly a figment of your imagination. Barack Obama is the biggest beneficiary of affirmative action in history. Without it, he likely never would have gained admission to Columbia College or HLS, and wouldn't have gone on to become President. But the Democratic Party is, after all, the patron of affirmative action in this country, at least nowadays. (Affirmative action began bipartisan). The GOP is, however, (rightly) against affirmative action. Yet when it came to choosing its leader, the Republican Party engaged in the most crass form of affirmative action, and of course, hypocritically given the party's platform and members' opinions. The guy has his foot in his mouth more often than Joe Biden - no small accomplishment, as the Vice President's many gaffes attest to. |
