You're also forgetting about connections.I have no connections, and I think there is a far more than 50% chance I could acquire a gun without being arrested. I've certainly read that there are plenty of gun stores in VA that will sell a gun to a non-resident. Worst that's likely to happen is that the store manager would kick me out and I could just try another store. And in fact a distant relative of mine, who had no criminal connections at all, managed to buy a gun illegally, which he used to kill himself. |
