Cocaine is any easy one. I just have to interact with one of the people who mumbles stuff to me as I walk through Washington Square Park.But I was addressing your statement: It simply isn’t true that if you want something bad enough you can always find it. Consider child pornography. From what I read there is a huge market for it. It's also far more serious than cocaine to get caught possessing a small amount of it. But obviously there are a lot of people who want it so badly that they will take the associated risk. And they seem to usually be successful at getting it. One reads of maybe hundreds of people getting arrested for possession, but of discoveries of stashes of millions of pieces of child pornography. That implies a lot of people are acquiring it without getting caught. |
