Heh ... saw yer reply, BIE ... alas, MORE thoughts ...4) SCROO Mexico ... PEMEX was yet ANOTHER supplier - but somehow for Maquiladores, Mexican truckers and illegals here in the US (as WELL as letting terrorists come across the border) our southwestern politicos have pandered to Y'ALL for long ENOUGH. Where's the GAS? (YES, Mexico TOO has cut back on us in favor of selling to other nations first - why? Beacuse the American Peso is worth less than the Mexican one) ... 5) STOP screwing with CANADA ... they still LIKE us, but it's wearing thin TOO fast. Don't tell them we'll explode missiles over Ottawa whenever we damned please - they have natural gas in such quantities that they have to BURN OFF the difference because we accuse them of being FRANCE. Alberta has PENTY of oil ... but we don't WANT it - same for the natural gas, and the latest purchases indicate they can keep their damned HYRDO too. What's WRONG with this picture? Canada is our FRIEND! :( 6) Site nuclear plants in the suburbs. Hicksville, Armonk, Bridgeport all are far enough to not affect major metropolitan centers, and the detritus can be shipped to Nashville. It'll help keep the city lit at night. But we NEED to do nuclear and anybody who doesn't like it will be issued one cord of wood for the winter. Good luck. 7) the TRACTION industry (steel or rubber wheel, matters not) will be provided tax incentives to deliver efficient AC polyphase motors for traction as well as the electric distribution infrastructure for wayside stations to sell to the general public a "charge" - let the oil companies have this enterprise so they don't whine ... it will encourage additional 10 cent a KWh competition from alternate traction motor battery charge marketers. 8) *HANG* the idjits who advocate hydrogen, fuel cells and ethanol as a possible alternative. Send them BACK to kindergarten and DON'T let them out of the classroom until they can count BTU's and show a positive flow. :) I'm done for now. Heh. |
