Precisely ... and just to amuse you - a friend of mine has a buddy over in Schoharie - a sweet corn farmer - who has one of the most unusual boilers I've ever seen to heat his farm house. It's some sort of converted coal burner that he has rigged up with a conveyor belt that feeds it dried corn kernels from ears of corn that didn't look pretty enough to be selling. And the corn kernels provide his heat all year round. Strangely, no popping noises either. So even there you have something. :) |
