So the GOP is in deep shit, is losing constituency, and censuring its own who oppose Trump. So they may well be done as national party or as holding majorities.

I wouldn't bet on that. People keep saying that the GOP is done, but remember that there is no other major party besides the Democrats, and I don't think the vast majority of Republicans are going to vote Democrat. They're going to hold their noses and still vote for "the lesser of 2 evils", the Republicans, even if it means voting for Trumpists.
