Lisa Montgomery Will Not Be Executed Today

A federal judge in Indiana has issued a stay in her case so that the court can hear arguments on whether she is competent enough to be executed. Ms. Montgomery was convicted in 2004 of a particularly brutal murder by strangling a pregnant woman, cutting out her baby and trying to pass it off as her own.

So now, not being a lawyer i don't understand this but, she was found competent to stand trial. Is there a different standard of competence to be executed? What is that measure of competence?
