There was the Mali Empire, Songhai empire, the Zimbabwe empire, the Zulu Nation in South Africa (at least militarily speaking) is what i can think of off the top of my head. There has been numerous great sub saharan African civilizations but they are not common knowledge since besides Egypt the only thing taught in schools about Africa is whites came in and took slaves. |
