The slave trade at that time, colonization and reasons others have mentioned. You are thinking of Africa too much in monolithic terms. While there's African counties that aren't developed have corrupt gov'ts there's other's that are developed and doing pretty well that of course really isn't heard about. Like Nambia, Gabon, Botswana, South Africa, Seychelles etc not counting Northern African countries. |
