Perhaps Texas has the problem. squeaking by the barest minimum standards is apparently good enough. New York State has a Department of Health that sets standards that exceed the lowest standards of federalista. And because of that little thing called "lawyers" (I'm sure you've heard of them) hospitals (not your drive-in stop and shop abortion clinics) will ensure that there's fewer chances of things going wrong. Imagine that? Exceeding the minimum standards out of an abundance of caution?

In Texas, they'd probably be shot for doing that. Here in New York, it makes us feel safer.
