Mr. Muldrows crime is not that he is 77 years old. His driving record (license suspensions, speeding violations etc. is an indictment of the laxity that is coming out of Trenton. In my world he would never qualify for a cdl whether he was 77 or 27. My point is that a reasonable, blanket, mandatory retirement age for cdl holders in general and for school bus drivers in particular would fill in the gaps that Mr. Muldrow was able to take advantage of. Would some good drivers suffer..yes. Would other drivers like Mr. Muldrow finally get pulled off the road..absolutely. It’s your life, or your kids life, or your grandchildren’s lives. All aboard! |
