Instead of running down to the SIE and exiting at Clove, it can take Clove Road down and provide some coverage in Sunnyside as well.BTW, with the Morani Street stop, I think they tried to reduce the ridership by having it stop further north (the X17 used to stop directly in front of Walgreens with the local buses. Now it stops by the bank, which brings it closer to the Yona/Lander Avenue stop). In general, I agree that the express stops aren't unreasonably close together, but at the same time, I don't think it was unreasonable to remove a few stops. What I don't like is that the express bus stops are often different from the limited stops (look at the X14 stops on Forest vs. the S98 stops. You might reduce "overcrowding" at the stops, but at the same time, people can't use the limited or express as a backup. |
