The only thing is that the whole eastbound stretch of Victory from Richmond to CSI is one big traffic jam during the AM rush hour, so that one extra block from Morani to Christopher Lane might is that much more traffic the buses have to deal with.As it is right now, the X17A/J have a monopoly on rush hour riders in that area, due to the fact that they travel directly onto the Staten Island Expressway. Even though the X10B serves West Street & Greenwich Village, most riders prefer to just take the X17 and transfer if necessary. So I think they're thinking of the stop locations along the lines of "While we're passing through, we might as well stop here" as opposed to serving any real demand, with the core SIM33 riders coming from the Willowbrook/Castleton Corners area, and to a lesser extent, Graniteville/Mariners Harbor/Arlington. |
