Nowadays, I use the X11 to/from work, and my wife and I use the x10 weekends. I'm glad that weekend/off peak service will be maintained in Chelsea, Greenwich Village, and SoHo. We go to all of those places.The off peak SIM4c is basically a merger of the x10 and x17. Harder hit by this will be the folks who use the stops at Targee and Richmond Road- they will have no weekend service. I realize the 4c will probably be too crowded to pick them up, and skipping those stops will definitely make our (me and the Mrs.)ride better. But the people there don't deserve to lose service. Maybe the SIM3c could be routed similarly to the SIM 35 on weekends- continue along Victory Blvd to Clove Road, and make all stops to fingerboard Road? I have submitted an online comment about this via the online mailbox the MTA set up. |
