The only one I accused of lying regarding this subject is Terrapin. Both R30A and Spider Pig have been polite in this thread.I see no reason why bus renumbering would require approval by the MTA Board since large sums of money which do require Board approval are not necessary when bus routes are renumbered. I never said that any Manhattan bus reroutings were my idea so why are you trying to muddy the waters and say something I never even hinted at to divert attention from the fact that the MTA did not think of the rumbering idea on their own in 1975. And that they adopted the idea after I told it to the Director of Operations Planning who would not even admit that such a simple and good idea was good. His exact words were: "I don't think renumbering is necessary. In Chicago, we found out that as long as people knew which routes operated on which streets, that is all that is needed." You are all jealous that I have gotten ideas approved by the MTA whether I was given credit or not and none of you have. That's why you all have made it your mission to try to discredit me. |
