It is obvious they stoke the idea, since in 1974 when they renumbered Manhattan bus routes, they didn't think of it themselves but instead renumbered the routes the wanted to renumber using sequential numbers that were unused at the time with no regard to street operation.It wasn't until after I personally told it to the person in charge of deciding what the numbers should be, that they used the idea. So it is obvious that after initially rejecting the idea, he further thought about it and realized it wasn't as dumb as he originally thought. The other possibility is that someone else in his department also thought of the same idea, and when suggested to him by so neon from his own department, rather than from someone from outside of his department he was more inclined to accept it. Either way, he owed me a phone call that he changed his mind instead using what he said was a dumb idea. |
