There was one transportation engineer who pretended he was a "community group" (George Haikalis) whose presentation was laughable at best and a couple of other people who used the same tactic. That's it. Everyone else just laughed and couldn't give a shit - with good reason. They all knew it was ridiculous. And then there are a few railbuffs who obsess about it. Considering that, in the end, you'd have to have an airTrain type vehicle meet the commuter train on the Rockaway Line anyway, you end up with a much poorer version of what you have now. |
