We are NOT "spineless foamers!"

As has been pointed out many times, this combination will be greatly beneficial to many, as Broadway Brooklyn riders will now one-seat midtown service they have NOT previously had, which also takes pressure off the L train and also will reduce crowding on the F train as those who previously got off at Essex-Delancey to switch to the F will drop considerably:

1. Former M riders looking for midtown now will simply stay on the V train.

2. J riders who previously got off at Essex-Delancey to take the F now can make a same platform transfer at Essex for the V, which will now skip 2nd Avenue and go straight to Broadway-Lafayette from Essex Street.

That means your F train will be MUCH less crowded than it is now by the time it reaches 2nd Avenue.

BULLSHIT

Do you have actual numbers that proves your assumptions? I'd think not. I've already proved that 2nd Avenue has seen a huge increase in ridership from 2000-2008. In addition, observe the amount of riders who use 2nd Avenue on a daily basis. You'll notice that the V line IS needed at 2nd Avenue. There is nothing the TA could do to ease overcrowding on the L. Speaking of the L, I've already proved in a prior post that most of the L's ridership comes from west of Myrtle-Wyckoff. So yeah, if you don't have ANY facts that backs up your assumptions, don't even bother respond to my posts. The same applies to those who make any little attempt to prove me wrong.

LOL!!!

I think that was!

The FACT is, this is a very sensible merger of two lines that was needed to be done any, cuts or not, and there are MANY benefits to this cut.

33rd Street seems to be more concerned about HIS ride and the fact HE will no longer be able to sit on the V and not looking at the bigger picture, that being the number of people who previously did the M to the L to an uptown train in Manhattan now being able to simply stay on the V and ride that to most midtown locations or have a MUCH easier two-seat ride at worst.

I have no sympathy for that because for years, I used to have to walk four avenue blocks west to get the 6 train that in the mornings often was just as crowded as the F with no option for a V train.
