The FACT is, this is a very sensible merger of two lines that was needed to be done any, cuts or not, and there are MANY benefits to this cut. 33rd Street seems to be more concerned about HIS ride and the fact HE will no longer be able to sit on the V and not looking at the bigger picture, that being the number of people who previously did the M to the L to an uptown train in Manhattan now being able to simply stay on the V and ride that to most midtown locations or have a MUCH easier two-seat ride at worst. I have no sympathy for that because for years, I used to have to walk four avenue blocks west to get the 6 train that in the mornings often was just as crowded as the F with no option for a V train. |
