This morning rush at 7a over 95% compliance. Sunday at 4p, maybe 30% compliance. Both trains had standees but not crush level. Evening 4p when there are a lot of construction workers mixed with early office workers its 65%, mostly middle seats empty and a smattering of standees. Sunday morning at 6am, maybe 20 people on the car, 50% compliance. |

Let common sense prevail!Several months ago I went into a store that required a mask w/o a mask on (I forgot it) Some nice middle aged lady wearing a mask walked up to me and said "and wheres your mask?" I told her the truth that I just plain forgot it. But I continued in a non confrontational tone: "Do you think masks are really effective in stopping the covid spread" Her reply: "Yes absolutely" Then I said "Well then you have nothing to worry about!" She walked away. |

We're at the point where the guidance should be just that. Even recommend an N95 or KN95, but leave the rest of us alone. No one asked, but in LA I'd estimate: LA bus riders: 90% wear masks LA train riders: 90% wear masks LA bus drivers: 50-66% wear masks LA train drivers: I haven't noticed, but since they're in a cab, my guess is 20% |

It was lifted for just a few days after the court ruling, but LA County Health implemented their own policy in response.I don't think that it's enforced but is "required". I say that because half the cops and security at stations aren't wearing masks either so I can see them giving out tickets. |

What's wrong with Al's example is that neither the restaurant nor the patrons are being required to modify their actions to accommodate someone on crutches. A better restaurant example might be allergies. Nut allergic reactions can be immediate and catastrophic. So should restaurants be banned from serving nuts or can they instead let patrons know that nuts are present? |

What's wrong with Al's example is that neither the restaurant nor the patrons are being required to modify their actions to accommodate someone on crutches.Nobody is reading what I responded to. The post I responded to said NO ONE should wear masks, and I objected. I never said EVERYONE should wear masks, even though that is what people keep thinking I said. So neither the restaurant nor the patrons have to make ANY accommodations if someone decides to come in wearing a mask. |
