What's wrong with Al's example is that neither the restaurant nor the patrons are being required to modify their actions to accommodate someone on crutches. A better restaurant example might be allergies. Nut allergic reactions can be immediate and catastrophic. So should restaurants be banned from serving nuts or can they instead let patrons know that nuts are present? |
