It's quite likely he has a disability. When I once complained about his paragraphing style he claimed he couldn't do it any other way. Let's drop it no matter how much more he posts.

There are single-click "reader mode" add-ons that work when enabled for posts here. Many browsers have it as a built-in feature, particularly on mobile. An increased font size and wide margins go a long way toward making up for a lack of properly broken up paragraphs.

There are no T/O trainees here (AFAIK), so RR N-S-E-W directions are not critical for discussions, be it trivial or otherwise on this message board. YOur arrogance towards this subject is far greater than any "Ignorance"

Fine. Hes entitled to use proper terminology anytime he wants. But don't hit us over the head with it. And don't imply a lack of intelligence shows when the RR directions are not used on this message board. Its more of an indifference actually.
Also, one that uses a compass instead of RR direction doesn't make them less of railfan

Just about everyone here knows what railroad north is. He simply won't accept that we know the correct railroad terminology and choose not to use it here.

Actually, the current B cannot be designated as a DD since under the single/double letter system only trains that have absolutely no express running anywhere on their route can be designated with double letters. Since the B runs exp on both 6th Ave and the Brighton Lin it has to carry a single letter. The problem comes in since there really can’t be 2 D services since it would be more confusing than the split A service between Lefferts and Rockaway. In a case like that one of the currently unused letters like the K or the V could be used. Other than that, the B could be rebadged as the D and the D could get back its pre Chrystie T designation. Then instead of using the T for the full SAS, either the K or the V could be used for that service if and when it ever comes to fruition.

Much as I liked the single/double designation scheme, the merged B division just has too many combinations to stick with the design. The need for at least one yard near a terminal to reduce deadheads, and the rider demands for particular routes (insisting on a B'way-Brighton rather than 6th Ave-Brighton) are more important than preserving a route naming scheme. As an example, a particular bus route near where I live has been 72P (for Point) became 73 when a new guy became director of planning only to then become 72M (as in MacDonald Ave which leads to the Point neighborhood) with zero change in actual route. A completely stupid expense of re-badging every bus stop sign on the 10+ mile route as well as the physical sign rolls, then the digital programming when the older fleet were scrapped. None of that nonsense gave riders a single extra frequency, greater schedule adherence, or faster throughput.
While I am not a fan of 'color' systems especially when multiple routes run on a trunk segment, at least there are more colors than usable alphabet letters.

Not understanding.

The AA had As and Ds running express on all/part of its route.

The AA was all local. A train that’s partially express is not a double letter.

Yes, but the AA train has the A express running on its route.

So you're saying what he meant is for a train to qualify for the double letter, that train must never run express anywhere. That makes total sense.

All depends on how you define the word "route."

I think of the A train and AA (now C) running on the same route from 168th to Canal. You and Randy obviously don't.

The QB was an intersting case. At the time the post Chrystie version of the QB was created, I mentioned to someone in some degree of authority that the train was mislabeled since it ran exp in Manhattan and should be designated as simply a Q. He insisted that since the train was a lcl on the Brighton Line it should be labeled as a “local.” He also pointed out a vagary in the old BMT service patterns in which when the Brighton exps stopped running and the Brighton lcls operated via the bridge, they actually ran exp in Manhattan. It seems that the BMT had a different standard for naming their routes from the iND and when the 2 divisions merged, the TA ended up with a badly mixed alphabet soup.
