Wrong. it is still a intertstate carrier and their engineers and equipment are FRA certified.

According to the Assistant Super that escorted us on the shop tour, SIRT is not bound by FRA rules, although they are using the FRA guidelines for operations & maintainence. We moved along at perhaps 30 to 40 MPH the entire day with the adapter coupler. I think the boys over on the island have it covered in regards to what they are doing.
