I believe TD says by spring 2010.From a few posts here, in regard to all the a/c failures on the R32's, I don't think they want to got thru another summer with them. I bet the ones formerly at Jamaica are the ones REALLY screwing up! I don't see NYCT spending money breaking up 4 car R46 units. It would be at a high cost as you need hostlers to move the B cars and put in electric portions on the open end. Plus, a 6 car R46 is 450' and an 8 car R32 is 480', meaning less capacity and issues with the c/r board and CCTV's at curved stations. |
