How is that so many people end up buying houses next to train tracks and then complain about noise?In some case (like the sign below) they slowly add trains until they are running 3 times as many trains as 20 years ago, but for the most part the trains were there first. What I think happens is that houses next to train tracks, freeways, airports, manufacturing, etc. can be slightly cheaper and people get a good deal, but don't realize the consequences until later.
