This is one of the "IND ghosts" often mentioned.Nycsubway.org mentions the IND "1940 extension proposal", which planned for the Hillside Ave line to be extended to 184th St (which was actually built, the relay tracks of the 179th St station continue eastwards until 184th St) and then to 212th St. |
